I'm trying my hand at DirectX now, or at least I was. I tried to install the DirectX SDK on my computer running XP-64, imagine my surprise when this Microsoft product didn't recognize its own company's operating system. Searching MSDN didn't help a whole lot, or I'm not good at searching. Either way, I can't do any DirextX programming until I get the files I need to do it with, all the includes, .libs and .DLL's, though that last shouldn't be an issue by now.

Which version of directX? All the newer ones (at least 9.0c June 2005) claim to support Xp and MCE 64. If you are trying to instal an older version,, maybe use this later one. It should be backwards compatible and include all the files for earlier versions...
