Hello all, i am doing a project which is needed to create a 3D environment with interactive control. I know it is easier to just draw all the complex images in MAYA(.ma .API or .obj format maybe) and then import to OpenGL. But i am just wondering how to convert it into openGL code(without data lost). thanks alot !!

For what it is worth, I chose to export my meshes as .obj then parse that with a simple python script into a custom format for my game. I really only needed the mesh shape and simplistic texture cords though so that method may or may not be suitable for what you wish to do.

OpenGL is a API, an API (sadly) without model importing support. You will need to write your own code to import and render a model. Erm...whats the site which might be handy....http://www.wotsit.org that will help you out with file formats.
