Anyone know how to calculate the odds of poker hands? If I have 1 card in my hand, and 51 remain in the deck, the odds of me getting a pair are 3:51 correct? 5.8%? Now if I have 2 cards in my hand and 50 remain in the deck are the odds of me getting a pair 6:50? 12%? Now if I'm playing with another player, and he has 2 cards too, how do I calculate my odds with that? Sorry I suck at math.

Say you have a 10H 6H 2H and you want to know what your odds are in getting a flush (you need 2 more hearts)..

that would be:

52 - 3(your cards) - x(opponents cards)

52 - 3(your cards) -x(opponents cards) - 1(your last card taken)

the first numerator is 10 because there's 13 card values (A,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,T,J,Q,K) and since you already have 10,6, and 2, that leaves 10 card values left, so picking any of those 10 will suffice. Next there's only 9 values left in that suit which will give you that flush.

Essentially you figure out what cards will help you divided by the remaining cards out there... but you need to be careful you're using the correct numerators because it gets more tricky in different scenerios
