Hi, Does anybody know a way I can iterate through the subkeys in a certain registry entry, so that I can add key/value pairs, using a bat file. I assume I need a way to list all the "folders" under a certain folder in the registry, then I also need a way to add a key/value pair to each of those folders, all of which must be performed in a batch file. The solution must be as portable as possible (running on all flavours of Windows)... Thanks in advance Terence

You may be stuck with a VBscript or jscript to get it done. start your looking in here. :)

in general windows scripting
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/default.mspx

and in specific registry scripting
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/os/registry/default.mspx

if you can go the c'ish route, a serach for GetPrivateProfileString or GetProfileString
