C++ & .Net

Hi ive a few questions about using any of the visual studio's with the .net sdk involved. *is using opengl through c++ and .net the same as normal as in vs6 *can code complied in vs7+ be executed without the .net runtime *does c++.net have garbage collection integrated and if so what side effects does this have for portability and not using the .net basically i want to know if i can develop a c++ / opengl app using vs7+ as if .net didnt exist i want to stick with portable ansi c++ without use of .net as much as possible

Yes, you can use MSVC 7 and 7.1 to compile native C++ binaries that have no .NET framework dependencies.
