.psd and .swf parsing

I'm adding support for Photoshop and Flash documents to my open-source graphics & game SDK "Endogine", and both file parsers are *almost* working. With .psd, I have problems reading RLE-compressed pixel data for individual layers. No open-source code I have found can do this, they all only read the Pattern bitmap (a merged bitmap representing the "sum" of all layers). With .swf, the lines and curves come out looking very strange, even though I'm following the specification (to the best of my knowledge). Does anyone have any experience with this?
