What exactly is Computer Engineering?

Well I know what computer Science is but what exactly is Computer Engineering? If you get a degree in this what kind of careers can you expect? is there much programming involved? Basically im looking for a detailed description of comp eng and all that it has to do with. Thanks. :)

It all depends on the specific university program you enter because Computer Engineering isn't as precisely defined as other majors. You can expect to be working on things like design of microprocessors or similar digital logic units, embedded systems (connecting a microprocessor to other hardware), and low-level programming. However, you can typically through electives take a more hardware-oriented or software-oriented track. Your ultimate career is really based on what you want to do, and with a CmpE degree you are probably at least minimally qualified for a CS or EE job.
