I'm creating a tilemap class and I was wondering whether i should store the level as an image array: Image[][] after reading in the tiles from a file. Then I just loop through this array to draw the tilemap. Or alternatively I store the tilemap as a string, aswell as have the tile images present in the tilemap then when i come to draw it match up the character with the images. Which would be a better method?
