Hi, Which would be faster for plotting pixels in DirectX9's Direct3D? A) Locking the back buffer, and plotting each pixel individually by manually setting the pixels on the back buffer array, then unlocking the buffer? B) Calling the ID3DXLine interface's Begin() method, then plotting single-pixel length lines for each pixel, then calling the End() method? Thanks. -Gauvir_Mucca

Hi,

You should not lock the backbuffer, that's almost for sure.
One pixel lines sound a bit strange, but maybe there is better:
what about DrrawPrimitive with D3DPT_POINTLIST?
