How can I make my C++ program to download a text file from a server? So that it downloads the file www.mimimamamumumuu.com/blaabalalala.txt to the directory where the program is in. What about when the file is protected and requires a log in name and a password like the site www.battlesofnorghan.com/beta/? Even 'partial' help is much appreciated.

Windows API has built in functions for network things like that. I assume you want HTTP stuff, so here

And you can't get a protected file without much trouble, and you probably won't get too much help on how to do it from this forum.
