How to calculate all points where a line and a polygon intersect?

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a simple, reliable algorithm for calculating all points where a line and a closed polygon intersect. This is 2D only. Thanks

Loop through all edges of the polygon, and test each edge individually against the line - effectively performing line-line intersections. Ask Google how to do it [smile]
