Does ID3DXMesh cache SetStreamSource/SetIndices calls with DrawSubset?

Just that: If I were to take a ID3DXMesh and call DrawSubset on it ten times, would SetStreamSource and SetIndicies be called ten times or only on the first time?

DrawSubset is provided for convenience, it is recommended to do the drawing yourself if you're worried about performance, because you know your usage scenarios and can optimize for them.
