Blender3D .x format and texturing/armatures

Using blender to create character models and others for a 3D online done in Dark Basic. Blender doesn't seem to export the link to the texture I've UV'd to it when I export it to the .x file. I'm not quite sure it's exporting the armatures I want it to either, or whether I can only use the armatures in blender to create animations then export them wholey. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can get a better .X exporter for blender here. Supposedly it works with animation, but I can hardly get it to. No idea about the textures, I've had no problem getting them to export, maybe there's a problem with your model viewer? Use the DXMeshViewer to see if that's the problem.

Back to armatures/animation, I've heard the most common thing is that bones may have a .001 or similar extension (i.e. Bone.004) and that that could cause problems for the .x files. I've switched out all of those with other names, like HandL, etc.. but I still get python errors on export.

Are you able to export without error at all after adding in armatures?
