Sound only playing in focused window

I created a working sound class using DirectSound. But it does only play sound data when the parent window is focused. It should also play when the window is minimized (like WinAMP). How can I change this behavior? Thanks in advance :)

Add DSBCAPS_GLOBALFOCUS as one of the flags to your DSBUFFERDESC when creating the sound buffer with it.

EDIT: Meaning:

bufferDesc.dwFlags = /*Whatever other flags you want*/ | DSBCAPS_GLOBALFOCUS;

And then you create your soundbuffer normally.
