NURBS Questions

Hello, again. I'm trying out TrueSpace 5.2 and the site mentions something called NURBS. Um, Okay. Can anyone tell me what are NURBS, and are they sutible for modeling objects for games?

Nurbs is a modeling technique. Suitable technique for modeling game objects ? A definitely maybe. Depends. You can convert a nurbs object into a poly object when you are done . So that´s not the problem.

It is trueSpace itself which could make trouble. Possible that you find yourself very often to the blank desktop ... ;)

Best is to try it out. For some it works without trouble, for some not. Save very often. And i mean often :)

NURBS - Non Uniformed Rational Basic Spline.

A NURBS curve is a 2D curving line. When used in conjunction with other NURBS lines a surface can be developed when the program calculates the average trajectory towards the next line. It basically creates an organic shape that can be manipulated by using conrol lines, or splines.
