is "the sims 2" a isometric game?

The Sims 2 uses a fully-3D engine. The Sims 1, however, uses a 2D-isometric engine. IIRC, the only 3D objects in the Sims 1 were the actual sims themselves. Everything else was animated sprites.

EDIT: Sorry, as vNistelrooy pointed out, I wrote Sims 2 instead of Sims 1.
