Drawing a rectangular section of pixels

Hello, Im writing a 2D game in Opengl, and i need to copy a rectangular section of pixels onto the screen... Would the best way to do this be to use glDrawPixels? Or would it be better to somehow put the pixels into a texture and render it on a quad? Thanks

Ok, well i tried using glDrawPixels, but whenever part of the image goes off screen, the whole section disappears.

I think this is becuase Im setting glRasterPos to an off screen position (?)

Is there any way to fix this?
