Does anyone know if Microsoft's command-line compiler supports RTTI (run time type identification)? I'm trying to compile a CGAL example, and it says this when I run it: ERROR : YOUR COMPILER MUST SUPPORT RTTI This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Any ideas? It seems odd that Microsoft's compiler would lack support for something like this. mike http://www.coolgroups.com/

It supports it but you must enable it [google] for the specific commmand line switch for your version of the compiler.

edit: try /GR with Visual C++, from a quick check that seems to be it
