SimplificationMesh problems(Managed DirectX)

I'm trying to simplify a mesh using the SimplicationMesh class, but I got some terrible problems with it. First I tried Mesh.SimplifyMesh(), but that caused a NullPointerException. So I swapped some code around and came up with this:
				Mesh tmp = Mesh.Clean(CleanType.Optimization, mesh, adj, adj);
				mesh = tmp;

				SimplificationMesh sm = new SimplificationMesh(tmp, adj);

				simpleMesh = sm.Clone(sm.Options.Value, sm.VertexFormat, device);
			catch (Exception e)
				MessageBox.Show(null, string.Format("Exception: {0} at {1}\r\nCallstack: {2}\r\n", e.Message, e.Source, e.StackTrace), "Kut");

It throws an exception on the SimplificationMesh sm = new SimplificationMesh(tmp, adj); line. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here? Toolmaker
