OpenGL Question about .3ds files and .X files...

I am currently coding my engine in OpenGL and have toyed around with going to DX. I have some .3ds models I want to use. Can DX load .3ds files? If not how can I convert them to .X? Thanks

u can convert the .3ds files using the panda exporter with 3ds max.
or u could get milkshape and implort ur 3ds model and export it to .x file.
