Quick question about the Lighting state in Effects
If you're using a custom vertex shader in an HLSL Effect, does the Lighting state do anything? Does turning it on or off give any kind of performance gain? I've seen it done before, and am just wondering.
afaik, the lighting in the FF pipeline is applied per-vertex. So when you use your own vertex shader, no per-vertex FF operations like lighting do appear (would need to verify it though).
