Does anyone know of a way to show *and* allow zooming/scrolling on a tiff graphic with a webapp? Generally something to be used alongside of Struts or Spring, etc. OR...how hard is it to have a web app simply open up a 3rd party tool like "Imaging" that comes with windows? I've been OT here lately, not that this forum doesn't have the knowledge base for non game-related stuff, but does anyone have any suggestions for a good ACTIVE Java forum, but with a more work-oriented web based application J2EE type theme?

Some of the J2EE guys I work with go to The Server Side for information. It's mostly devoted to Java/J2EE work, but I'm sure they would be able to help you with something like this.

You might be able to just build yourself a custom applet that will do what you want. Or a Java Webstart app. Or better yet, there might exists a very complex javascript application that will do it all in the browser.

Sun...the obvious choice, but I avoided them because of a need for objectivity. :)

I'll check those out, thanks.

Why does it seem like there's alot of... fools or jerks or something on some of those forums? Man, reminds you of how awesome gamedev.net is, when you go out in the wild for this stuff.
