Blender problems

i have just started to use blender, and i like what it has to offer the problem is, all the models ive made in it, i export into .obj, so i can view them in milkshape and lithunwrap etc..., but when i load the file into these programs it makes it so that some of the model is just dark, and rotating it does nothing i tried exporting to .x, but the same thing happened i would really appreciate any help on this

Also, prior to exporting, you can see if your normals are facing the right direction by selecting the UV Face Select mode and seeing which faces are transparent and which are solid white. Also, in Edit mode, you can click the Draw Normals button and see little blue lines that show which direction the normals are pointing. If only a few of the faces are inverted (sometimes the recalculate outside doesn't catch all of them) you can select individual faces and invert them. There's a few ways to do this but go ahead and try selecting a face, hitting SPACEBAR and selecting Edit > Normals > Flip Normals (I think that's the word it uses, I'll have to check later).
