Driving traces

Hello, I have a multi-textured terrain and there I want to show driving traces when a car slows down or it goes into a skid. How can I do such a "effect"? dnaxx

Using another texture unit would be too expensive, as driving traces will only be on some parts of the screen. Try rendering sprites on the places where you want those traces (or possibly a textured triangle strip for each wheel)
