If you want to export the biped as an X file, the best way is to use Panda plugin.

Steps:

1) Download Panda plugin according with your 3ds max's version:
http://www.andytather.co.uk/Panda/directxmax_downloads.aspx

2) Place the .dle file into the 3ds max's Plugins folfer

3) Start 3ds max

4) Load your scene or model

5) Export it selecting "Panda DirectX (*.X)" option (a window dialog will appear).

6) In the "X file Settings" tab check the "Sub frame hierarchy" option of DX Frame

7)Go to "3DS Max Objects" tab and check the "Include Animation (requires frames)" and "Bones" options.

Good luck!
