graphics editor
hello everyone.
im rather new to game developing. im going to start a career in video game developing and i need a few pointers.
my resume:
i have done game editing for such games as Doom, Doom2, Quake, Quake2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Doom3, and a few other. but i happen to like ID games. :D
anyways, i do alot of graphics design. ive been mostly doing just 2d graphics such as textures and sprites. (mostly for Doom)
lately i have been working with a few different programs doing 3d models and such.
anyways, i seriously want some info. you see, im 16 years old. but i really do think i have what it takes to do some serious graphics design. what should i do to start an EARLY career in graphics design? is this possible?
or, DOES ANYONE NEED A GRAPHICS DESIGNER FOR THEIR GAME??? cuz im really looking for work.
heres a few pics of my work... just for Doom2

these are some very BASIC BASIC sprites for Doom2.
i will later post some finished 3D models because im switching programs. im now going to use the Blender program.
With that much experience, I bet you'd be good on a team, as you don't need to be a programmer. Good luck spazuh!
So, I am not the only 16 year old guy interested in game development here! (I am skilled more in programming than in graphics). However, good luck!
I've made these into links for you (they're pretty good, in my opinion):

From what I've seen, there's usually more programmers than artists in these forums, so an artist will be an asset to their teams. You can have a look at the teams being built in the Help Wanted forum and see if there's anything you'd like to help (there might be a few FPS in there). Or you can make an announcement yourself and say you are looking to join a team.

Nice work. You might consider looking around the Help Wanted forum, as there is usually someone looking for an artist. As for a future career, developing a portfolio and getting experience (like working with a team) is probably the best thing you can do for now.
