Hi Guys, I've been given the responsibility to port another persons project to an in-house Java API which requires the use of make files. I've never used make files before and from my experience over the last few days its like nothing I have ever used. We use 2 files. And it seems a variable declared in one file seems to be available to the other file and the value of the said variable seems to carry across. It seems like all the vars are held in some global space in the session. I have been reading the documentation and its a hard read and still don’t have an over view exactly how make is working. http://theory.uwinnipeg.ca/localfiles/infofiles/make/make_5.html#SEC4 Can somebody who understands 'make' well, help me out by explaining simply how it works? Or if you know of some good simple docs or tutorials I would appreciate it. Many Thanks, Brian
