No Doom 3 Models on the Net?

Is it true? I'm searching for 3 days now and I cannot find any user made Doom 3 models to download.
I just looked at polycount, doesn't have a doom3 section.

Search the forums on Polycount. I know there are 2 or 3, but not many. Doom3 doesn't allow custom models, hence the lack of them.

Which will change when Quake 4 is released... I see but there are exporters for Doom 3 models already available.
Indeed there are. I think they are there partly because people thought it was cool to make them, partly because many people may be using the Doom3 model and animation format for their own projects. I know I am :D
Also, since the Doom3 formats are in plain text, these exporters may have been created before it was entirely clear that no custom models would be supported. This last is just my own guess, not hard fact.
