How to trace data member when debugging

The data member has its scope, while it must be in the class scope. Unexpectedly, the data member lose its data or value out of the member functions' scope while debugging. I wonder the cause of it. Thanks in advance.

Ummm. From the information you gave, there isn't much anyone can tell you. You should post a snippet of the function that the data member resides in. My best guess would be that you have some memory leak or something, or that the variable is global and you change it somewhere else in the program, or that it is a pointer that you new, delete, and then try and access the value of. That's about it - the problem isn't your debugger. I'll bet you $10.
