Managed Device to Texture Copy

Im new to managed DirectX and Im not sure how to copy the backbuffer from the Deivce to a Texture? what's the best way to do this?

May be I didnt ask the question right, what I want to do is this:

Copy a surface to a texture?


At least is there a way to do that? Or am I out of luck?

You should just be using a RenderTarget instead. Instead of rendering to the backbuffer, then trying to copy it to a texture, you can just render directly to the texture.
