I got a "game" built with bmp's. But when I load the bmp's there is a white shape around the images which does the ground not seeable. Anyone knows how to fix this? Screenshot:

If you want to stick with BMPs, I'd suggest you read through NeHe's masking tutorial - that's what you're looking for.
Another way would be to use TGA files with an alpha channel. The alpha channel tells which parts of the image are transparent. There is also a NeHe tutorial on that.
