multiple texture terrain rendering

I want to use multiple texture to render terrain for example the terrain contents n textures and every texture fits in a square made from 2 triangles.How can i render terrain whiteout processing every square separately if is a method or if is possible?

tnx the article and the source is interesting but i am using visual c++ 6.0 and i am unable to open the project. if someone can give me the .dsp and .dsw files if is possible or tel me how to open the project.

There is a converter that will convert from .net to vis 6 available somewhere - I think it is on the CodeProject site but a google should find it.
