and then of course I made a low poly model t work with games and such.
Just remember that most programmer art is not considered "bad" because there not good at it, its just that most of us are too worked up in our programs and end up making a quick hack at a graphic which we tell ourselves that we will change afterwards and never end up doing! If you choose to do the stuff yourself, you should always give yourself some time to properly design and do the art and not treat it as a quick way to get things into the game to see if your render engine works or not :)
