NvPerfKit statistics

I'm currently trying out the NvPerfKit, which has been released recently. But I encountered some problems: The GPU data which gets collected is always displayed as a percentage! This doesn't make much sense. What do these percentages refer to? There is, for instance, a counter named vertex_count, which should give me the number of transformed vertices. But the counter just returns a percentage. Another problem: The counter culled_primitive_count mainly returns numbers around 0.0% - 0.1%. (even when the whole scene lies behind me)
