question on isometric maps
hi everyone
i have a question on isometric maps
a isometric tile is not rectangular,so the tiles must be overlapped to form a complete map.
i want to know how can u do it.
One way to do it is just use normal rectangular images with an alpha channel so that the parts outside the hex in the image can be transparent. You can also use image masks to blot out the parts outside the tile proper. Our Isometric and Tile-base games article section has more details.
