It's alright, but not the fastest or simplest way to do front-to-back ordering. :)

It's the best I could do. I would say that the rendering loop could do with a bit of work, especially in the area of grouping landscape blocks to minimise VB pointer changes. However, I sacrificed this for simplicity in the article (and my engine :) ).
