Best way for dynamic textures?

Please advice us, 1) What is the best way to show newely generated image (calculated by CPU) of texture at least 100 times per second for full screen mode? Dynamic textures, or UpdateTexture or something else... 2) Is real necessarity to use DirectShow instead of Direct3D? 3) And have Direct3D 9 some benefits with more fast way against Direct3D 8 ? We prefer DirectX 8 Thanks in advance!
