You get 3 if you download and register VC2005 ... I'm surprised Google hasn't turned up a bunch for ya.

EDIT: nm, just checked the website again.

First couple searches of Google->Search( "C++", "Books", "Download" );

they have some but i want downloadable books.
Thinking in C++ is downloadable, and distributed in PDF form by it's author for free.

In time the project grows, the ignorance of its devs it shows, with many a convoluted function, it plunges into deep compunction, the price of failure is high, Washu's mirth is nigh.

forgot i even had Thinking in c++
isn't Thinking in C++ aimed at the C-programmer who wants to 'switch' to C++?

i dont know
Thinking in c++ would be a good 2nd or 3rd book, IMO. I know that you can read Teach yourself C++ online. Just google for it.
There's How to Think Like a Computer Scientist and as an added bonus there are Python and Java versions of the same book so you can compare languages side-by side.
http://www.click-now.net/ebooks.htm ... This has Bruce Eckels first and second version downloadable Ebooks. This is the only known Ebook or "learning" book out there known to me. If there's another I'd like to know.
