I'm trying to use the System.Xml class that's used in the .NET framework from within Java, but it won't recognize it. I'm trying: import Xml.*;, which causes an error. Also, lines such as Xml.XmlNode node; and System.Xml.XmlNode node; cause errors whether or not the import statement is used. Why is Java not recognizing the class?

Wow, I totally forgot that Java doesn't use the .NET libraries. I guess this means that there's no fast way to translate this code into Java?

Not really, at least not that I know of. I dont think there is any .NET framework translated code for Java either.
