Nice and modern, I know, but I'm working with connecting my PC to an ancient HDD-less machine, running DOS off a floppy. The serial port will run up to 115200 baud (as I remember from using hyperterminal to transfer files to it when it had Win95 on it), however it won't open the port if I specify anything higher than 9600 in the OPEN COM statement (claims an invalid filename). Assuming this is a QB "limitation", is it possible/practical to directly read/write from/to the serial port using port &H3F8? I'm using QB7.1, if that's of any use.
