Does anyone know of any benchmarking tools I can use to check my gfx card? I did a quick google, and it seemed like there was a million of them, so I wonder which one(s) you'd recommend? I would like to know things like how many polygons it can draw per second, and some fillrate tests and you know, the basics.. I'm not intrested in advanced stuff such as shaders, just basics.. It's a very old card (onboard NVidia Vanta, 8mb I think, some ogl tool reported 4mb though).. I'm also intrested in information about my card, what it can do and so on (DXdiag doesn't say very much imho).. I would also like to try it with different DX versions (7, 8.1 and 9), and OpenGL wouldn't hurt either.. :p I don't care if it's all one big fancy program or 100 small ones, just as long as I can get the info.. Now, you all might wonder why this is intresting? Well, I'm making a game that shouldn't be very gfx intensive, and I figured that if this computer can run it, just about anything that is still in use should be able to run it.. So, anyone?

The 3DMark is pretty much what I use...and what the hardware reviewers seem to use in the game mags..

Though I really hope you've got broadband...the compressed download file is 275 MB in size..;)

Thanks, but I'm out of luck on that one..

Quote:

3DMark®05 - is the latest version of the highly favoured 3DMark series. It is the first benchmark to require a DirectX®9.0 compliant hardware with support for Pixel Shaders 2.0 or higher!

It definitly doesn't support pixelshaders.. :p In fact I'm not sure it supports transform and lightning or whatever it's called.. :p

Any other suggestions?

3DMark03? 01? If your card is that old, 03 will definately stress the GPU. 01 may be a little more CPU bound (depending on your CPU of course). I also like to use Aquamark3 for 3D benching.
