I recently added volume shadows to my graphics engine, and on my system they work great. The funny thing is, on every other system I've tested it on, all the nVidia cards run it perfectly, yet all the ATI cards show this odd flickering effect (not z tearing, something stencil or volume related I think). Here's a screenshot, I know it doesn't show much, but maybe you've seen this before: If you know what's going on, I'd appreciate some tips! :-)

hi, one other problem may comes from the D3DRS_TWOSIDEDSTENCILMODE extension. I remember that when I first implemented shadow volumes, we could update the stencil buffer in 1 pass on NVidia, but not on ATI because this extension didn't exist on ATI.
