I need to set up a process to download a file from a remote server. I've looked through the VS 2003.NET documentation, and I've found the FTP samples using MFC, but I want to avoid MFC if possible. Basically, I just need to set up a simple FTP connection, download a file to the local hard drive, then close the session. I don't need to allow the user to browse or anything else. Can someone point me to an example of how to set this up? Thanks in advance!

Look up the Internet* family of functions, collectively known as WinInet. Start with InternetOpenUrl() and go from there. Seems to be pretty self-explanatory. :)
