quadtree terrain blues

Hi everyone, I have geomipmapped terrain up and running. I have been trying to implement the quadtree algorithm from "focus on 3d terrain programming" in direct3d, but with not luck. Can anyone suggest a way of implementing the quadtree algorithm ? Thanks, RB26DETT
