hi, I was wondering how i could create some effects such as; 1.looking at the sun than looking back and the screen adjust to the normal light. 2.You get caught in a explosion and dust flies into you camera. 3.Water hitting the camera 4.A bug running into the camera (splatter effect) any help would be great

Since you don't specify what level you want this, so I'll just give you some ideas.

1. Looking at the sun just brightens up everything. How to do this depends on your lighting model. Otherwise, you could just render a white sprite covering the entire screen and varing the alpha (transparency).

2. Use a particle system (google).

3. Render small billboarded sprites (2D images that are always facing the camera) with different sizes and let them slowly glide down.

4. Same as above, either 2 or 3 or a combination.
