You can uninstall it to a fashion with Add/Remove Windows Components in Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. It doesn't remove it completely though, if you want to do that your best bet is to get Windows 95.

You can't properly delete iexplore.exe because it is regenerated - what you could try to do is delete the file in Linux and replace it with a directory called iexplore.exe.

It looks highly likely that WinInet functions will still work.

PS. You should be Spreading Internet Explorer, not trtying to get rid of it. [grin]
