Sprite texture reverses in world space

hi folks. i got a problem with ID3DXSprite. The problem that the top and bottom of the picture(texture) reverses. The problem occures when i use ID3DXSprite::Begine with D3DXSPRITE_BILLBOARD flag to render image in 3d world space. On the one hand,When drawing on Screen plane with D3DXSPRITE_ALPHABLEND flag, it is normal. so i have to Scale Y-Axis -1 to solve the problem. D3DXMatrixScaling(&matScale,1,-1,1); this work fine,but it doesnt make any sense for me. does ne1 have(had) same problem?
