Hi , i'm making a program based on directdraw 7 , and i have some trouble. I succeded in loading a png file into a directdraw surface using the FreeImage libraries , but now when i try to blit on the backsurface i don't know how to use the alpha channel and the parts what are suposed to be transparent are blitted as white. Can anyone give me a hand with this? thanks in advance , and pardon for my bad use of the english language.

If memory serves, DirectDraw 7 blitting does not support the alpha channel. If you want to use it, you'll have to use Direct3D and texture a quad.
