Does anyone know where I can download a .mdb or similar database of all english words? I need to for this chat bot I'm making. (I know it's a long shot but oh well ...)

If it's possible for us to conceive it, than it must be possible.

Well there is always the dictionary file in linux (can't think for the life of me what the name of it is).

I believe the file you're thinking of is /usr/share/dict/words.

Also, check out WordNet. It is a program with a C++ interface (there are other's implemented, check out the links page) that allows you to do searches for things like symonyms, meronyms, etc...
