[java] packs in J2ME games

Hi Everybody, could any1 tell me about the use of packs in J2ME games. wat i know is these files somehow contains the images,texts etc. ,,,,,,n i saw they were being read using DataInputStream object......But i dont know how r they using it? waiting for a reply......as its very urgent.......... thanks tk care ramy

They are using their own proprietary formats. Nothing to explain, it's that simple - build your own "pack" creator and decoder according to your needs, and there you go.

Well, there are a couple of ready made tools, like bincompiler and I think J2ME Polish also has something.
